Under the new management of the Thompson Hotel Group, in November 2018 ASD wrapped the renovation of the old Viceroy Hotel. This revamp highlights a new age for Zihuatanejo where tradition and heritage meets simplicity and function. The orange stucco exterior was painted with a fresh coat of smooth off-white, pops of navy and black and midcentury accents were added to inject a little sex appeal to La Ropa Beach. Traditional Mexican art and design accents like native stone finishes, Mexican mosaic tiling and bright handwoven rugs compliment the mid century embellishments to create a new property built for a slowdown and salty getaway. The resort includes F&B options such as Spanish eatery Ceniza and beachside restaurant and lounge HAO (which ASD worked on).
